Four partner associations in 2019
After more than a year of efforts by GEFCO employees and partners, GEFCARES will support four well-known French and international charities in 2019: Les Restaurants du Cœur, Le Palais de la Femme, Avenir Enfance Togo and Institut de l’Engagement:
GEFCARES will support these charities throughout the year, by providing project funding, mobilizing volunteers to help carry out their missions or managing logistics for their sites.
This assistance complements the humanitarian work already undertaken locally in most of the countries where GEFCO operates.
A fund sustained by employees, clients and suppliers
The main purpose of the GEFCO endowment fund is to raise funds and redistribute them to partner associations. These funds are raised mainly by employees, although clients and suppliers are also involved, in line with the group’s partnership approach.
GEFCARES is managed by a Supervisory Board chaired by Pierre-Jean Lorrain, Member of the GEFCO Management Board and Executive Vice President for Central Europe, Balkans, Middle East, Western Europe and Mediterranean. He will be assisted in his role by three administrators: Emmanuel Cheremetinski, Member of the GEFCO Management Board and Executive Vice President for Overland, Warehousing, Reusable Packaging and Finished Vehicule Logistics, Susan Marro, Executive Vice President Communications, and Stéphane Milhet, Executive Vice President Human Resources.
